SiddharthisanIndianfilmactorwhohasappearedinTamil,Telugu,Hindi,andMalayalamlanguagefilms.Apartfromacting,hehasalsobeeninvolvedinfilmsasascreenplaywriter,producerandplaybacksinger.HehasbeendescribedasoneofthefewactorsinIndiawithpan-Indianappeal.[1]Aftercompletinghisbusinessmanagementstudies,SiddharthchosetoworkinfilmmakingandassistedManiRatnam,beforegoingontomakeanactingdebutinS.Shankar'scoming-of-ageTamilfilmBoys(2003).ThesuccessofthefilmprovidedanopportunitytofeatureinManiRatnam'smulti-starrerAayuthaEzhuthu(2004),beforehebranchedofftoreceivecriticalandcommercialacclaiminTeluguandHindicinemathroughNuvvostananteNenoddantana(2005),RangDeBasantiandBommarillu(2006).Inthelate2000s,heestablishedhimselfasabankableleadactorinTelugufilmsandsubsequentlychosetobecomemoreselectivewithhisprojects,whilealsowinningacclaimforhisworkasacarromplayerinStriker(2010)andasablindwarriorinthefantasyfilmAnaganagaODheerudu(2011).In2011,hereturnedtoTamilfilmsafterasabbaticalandproducedBalajiMohan'scommerciallysuccessfulromanticcomedyKadhalilSodhappuvadhuYeppadi(2012).Theactorthenhadaprolificyearin2014,winningcriticalacclaimandboxofficesuccessforhistwoventures;Jigarthanda,whereheportrayedanaspiringfilmmaker,andKaaviyaThalaivan,inwhichheplayedanactorfromthe1920sMadrastheaterscene.
