JustinChadwickisanEnglishactorandtelevisionandfilmdirector.Chadwickbeganactingattheageofeleven.HegraduatedfromtheUniversityofLeicesterandin1991madehisscreendebutinLondonKillsMe.AdditionalactingcreditsincludeTheLossofSexualInnocenceandappearancesinthetelevisiondramasHeartbeat,Dangerfield,DalzielandPascoe,andothers.Chadwick'sdirectorialdebutwasthe1993televisionmovieFamilyStylestarringEwanMcGregor,afterwhichhedirectedandperformedinShakespeareShorts,aseriesthatexploredthehistoryofShakespeareancharactersandpresentedtheminkeyscenesfromtheplaysinwhichtheyappeared.HedirectedepisodesofEastEnders,BykerGrove,TheBill,Spooks,andRedCapbeforedirectingnineofthefifteenepisodesofthemini-seriesBleakHouse,whichwasbroadcastbytheBBCintheUKandbyPBSintheUnitedStatesaspartofitsMasterpieceTheatreseries.ChadwickwasnominatedforthePrimetimeEmmyAwardforOutstandingDirectingforaMiniseries,MovieorDramaticSpecial,theRoyalTelevisionSocietyAwardforBreakoutPerformanceBehindtheScenes,andtheBAFTAAwardforBestDirectionforBleakHouse,whichwastheBestDramaSerialwinnerintheBritishAcademyTelevisionAwards2006.BleakHouse”wasalsonominatedfortwoGoldenGlobes,fourRoyalTelevisionSocietyAwards,threeBroadcastingPressGuildAwards,threeSatelliteAwards,andtheTelevisionCriticsAward.Chadwick'smostrecentprojectisTheOtherBoleynGirl,shownattheFebruary2008BerlinInternationalFilmFestival.HewasscheduledtostartproductiononscreenadaptationsofBirdsong(released2012)andJamaicaInnin2008.HecompletedthefeaturefilmTheFirstGraderstarringNaomieHarriswhichisscheduledtobereleasedonMay13,2010.
