FrancesRuffellehasbeenperformingfromayoungage,appearinginherfirstWestEndmusicalattheageof16.Shewentontocreatetheroleof"Eponine"intheblockbustermusical,LesMisérables,forwhichshewonaTonyawardwhenshetooktheroletoBroadway.AfterNewYork,shereturnedtoLondonandappearedinmusicalssuchasChicago,JosephandApplesamongothers.SherepresentedBritaininthe1994EurovisionSongContest,andhasreleased4soloalbums;Fragile;FrancesRuffelle;ShowgirlandImperfectlyme.In2010,Ruffelleappearedinthe25thAnniversaryConcertofLesMisérablesattheO2ArenaaspartoftheoriginalLondoncastandin2011starredasmeddlingEssexmotherFastradaattheMenierTheatre'sproductionof'Pippin'.Ruffellerecentlyappearedinthemultiawardwinningfilmof'LesMiserables'aswellas'TheDevil'sTower'dueforreleaseJune2013.ShewillbeopeninginthetitleroleofthenewPiafmusicalinFebruary2013andlateronintheyearwillbeperforminghersoloshow'BeneaththeDress'inNewYork.FrancesisthedaughterofSylviaYoungwhofoundedtheprestigiousLondonTheatreschool.
