ThesonofanIrishfatherandaRussianAmericanmother,Ronanspentmuchofhisearlylifemovingaroundtheworld,followinghisfathersworkandhischangingfamilysituation.Bythetimehewasthree,hehadlivedinNewYork,California,Greece,TheRepublicofIrelandandtheUK.Afterhisparentsdivorceattheageofthree,RonanmovedtoNewYorkwithhismother,wherehebeganhiselementaryschooleducation.ThroughoutthistimeRonanspentmostofhisschoolholidayswithhisfatherbackinIreland,whowaseagerthatRonanholdontohisrootsthere.WhenRonanReachedhisearlyteensthesituationwasreversed,andhebegangoingtoschoolinIrelandandreturningtotheUSAforhisholidays.Thisbi-continentalupbringinghasgivenhimauniqueinsightintobothAmericanandEuropeanwaysoflife,andhasprovedinvaluableatvariousstagesofhisprofessionalcareer.Afterschool,RonanwasacceptedintotheactingdegreecourseattheprestigiousRoyalWelshCollegeOfMusicAndDrama,wherehereceiveda2:1andgraduatedin2004.Next,HemovedtoLondon,wherehehassinceworkedconsistentlyinthemanyvariedaspectsoftheactingworld,fromTelevisiontoFeatureFilms,ShortstoVoiceOvers,PerformanceCapturetoCommercials,andbothsmallandlargescaletheatre.Hisjobhastakenhimallovertheworld,andthedualcitizenshipgiventohimbyhismixedparentagehasprovedtobeoneofhisgreatestassets.
