DinaShihabiisaSaudiArabianactressworkingintheUnitedStates.DinaShihabiwasborninRiyadh,SaudiArabia,andwasraisedinSaudiArabia,Beirut,andDubai.Shehadstarteddanceclassesatage6,andat13shebegantakingdancelessonsfromSharmillaKamte,arenowneddanceteacherattheDubaiCommunityTheatreandArtsCentreChaloubStudio,knownasthe"dancingqueen"oftheUnitedArabEmirates.Shebecameamemberofhermodernprofessionaldanceteam.InDubaisheattendedAlMawakebSchool,EmiratesInternationalSchool,andDubaiAmericanAcademy.Shihabiperformedinnumerousschoolplays,andwasencouragedbyherteacher,NancyMock,topursueanActingcareer.Atage18,withherfather'spermission,DinamovedtoNewYorkCityin2007andbeganpursuingacareerinacting;thisbecameafull-timeprofessionforherin2010.In2011,shewasacceptedatbothJuilliardandThegraduateActingProgramatNYUTischSchoolfortheArts.AlthoughDinadidnotcompletea4yearBachelor'sdegree(sheattendedtheAmericanAcademyofDramaticArts,anActingConservatoryfrom2008to2010),NYUwaivedtherequirementofaBachelor'sdegreeandshegraduatedwithherMFAin2014.SheisthefirstMiddleEast-bornwomantobeacceptedtoboththeJuilliardandNYUGraduateActingprograms.
