KentS.LeungwasborninVancouver,BC,CanadaandraisedforthemajorityofhischildhoodandteenyearsinthebeautifulyetisolatedareaofDeepCoveinNorthVancouver.Growingup,hehadnoaspirationsnorinterestsintheperformingarts;andinfact,ifitweren'tforDramabeingmandatoryingrade8,helikelywouldnothavetakenit.Kentspentmostofhistimeoutsideofschoolplayingvideogameswithhisolderbrotherandshootingballsaroundinthelocallacrossebox;playingrollerhockeywiththeicehockeykids.InhisyoungadultyearshewenttotheUniversityofBritishColumbiawherehegraduatedwithanArtsMajorinPsychology.Duringhisfirstyear,KentattendedtheannualCVCFashionShowwhereheexperiencedfirsthandtheeffecttheshowhadonstudents,andbytheendofit,hehadmadeasilentvowtohimselftogetintoshapeandmodelforthesameshowtheyearafter.BythetimeKentgraduated,hehadmodelledfortheshowfouryearsinarowandwasapartoftwomoreasoneofthehosts.KentconnectedwithalocalTVproducerthereafterandendeduphostingaTVshowcalledAsianLifestylesTV.Ashesoonfoundmodellingandhostingrelativelyunrelatedtohispassions,hesoughtoutanagenttoputhispsychologydegreetoworkinthewonderfulworldofacting.Withhisagent'sadvice,KentstartedtakingactingclasseswithsomeofVancouver'stopteachersanditwasn'tlongbeforehestartedlandingsubstantialwork.ThefirstmajorrolewasofaverycolourfulyoungChinesemanwhowasheavilyinfluencedbyhiphopculture.Thecharacter,Jackie"YoYo"Chan,wasthenbroughtinforafeaturelengthsequel,inwhichKentalsoplayedthepart.SoonafterthatKentlandedtheroleofDavid,asupportingcharacterintheindiefeature,TheCoverUp,whereheplayedacharactertypicallylabelledastheloserordorkbysociety.In2012,KentlandedtheleadroleofJackintheindiefeature,JohnAppleJack,whereheplayedacl
