AnativeofSanFrancisco,DimitriDiatchenkoattendedNewtonNorthHighSchoolinNewton,Massachusetts.Afterhighschool,heattendedStetsonUniversityinDeland,Floridawherehewasascholarshipmusicstudent,majoringinclassicalguitar.AftercompletingtheBachelorsprogram,hematriculatedtoFloridaStateUniversityinTallahassee,FloridawherehecontinuedwithhisactingandmusicstudiesintheMastersprogram.Hisfirstactingexperiencewasastheleadintheplay,Foxfire,byHumeCronin,whereheplayedthecountrymusicstar,DillardNations.DiatchenkocontinuedtodevelophisactingskillsbothonstageandoncamerainFlorida-basedprojectsfrom1990-1996,whilestudyingwithKenStilsonandGeorgeJudy.Someoftheseprojectsincludetheaward-winningshortfilms,ThirdonaMatch,UsedCarsandGoiterBoy..InAprilof1996,asDimitriwasgraduatingwithhisMastersdegreefromFloridaStateUniversity,helandedasmallroleasaNavySealinRidleyScott'sDemiMoorestarerG.I.Jane.Afterthatbreak,DiatchenkomovedouttoLosAngelesandofficiallystartedhisprofessionalactingcareer.Inadditiontohisacting,Diatchenkocontinuestoperformasamasterclassicalguitarist.Asasoloist,hehasfourguitarCDsinrelease.Hisoriginalcompositionforsologuitar,entitled,"TangoenParaiso"isfeaturedonthesoundtrackforhisfilm,RemarkablePower.MelBayPublicationshaspublishedthispiecein"MasterAnthologyofNewClassicGuitarSolos,Vol.1."Dimitrihasalsoperformedonthesoundtrackofthefilmheco-starsin,ClubhouseandperformshisarrangementofHungarianDanceNo.5byJ.BrahmswithaDjangogypsyjazztreatmentinthefilm,Repossessed.
