KitChan(simplifiedChinese:陈洁仪;traditionalChinese:陳潔儀;pinyin:ChénJiéyí)(bornSeptember15,1972)wasthepioneergenerationofSingaporeansingerstosuccessfullybreakintotheinternationalmarket,markedinparticularbyherbreakthroughintothecompetitiveandhighlycriticalTaiwanesemarket.Unarguablyoneofthemostestablishedlocalsingers,KitChanisoftendubbedasSingapore’s“nationaltreasure”forgoodreasons.Sinceherdebutin1993,shehasprovenherselfinmanydiversifiedareas–singing,theatre,televisiondrama,poetry,songwriting,communitywork,etc.
