BrammallwasborninCanberra.[2]Hewasbornwiththeraregeneticdisorderprunebellysyndromeandhisdoctorsdidnotthinkhewouldsurvive.Heunderwentseveraloperationsandspentquitealotoftimeinandoutofhospitalduringthefirst10yearsofhislife.PatrickBrammallgraduatedfromVCAin2001.[4]Hisbreakthroughrolewasinthe2004televisionmovieTheAlice,whichledtoastarringroleinthespin-offseriesin2005.HealsohadastarringroleintelevisionseriesCanalRoadin2008.Thiswasfollowedbymanyrolesintelevisionseries,shortfilmsandtheatre.[5]In2010,heplayedGriff'sbrotherTiminthegentlecomedyGrifftheInvisible.In2012,BrammallhadastarringroleintwoABCcomedyseries–TheStrangeCallsasSgtNeilLloyd,andAMoodyChristmasasSeanMoody(forwhichhewontheAACTAAwardforBestPerformanceinaTelevisionComedy).In2013,BrammallreprisedtheroleofSeanMoodyfortheeight-partseries,TheMoodys.Healsowroteepisode5oftheseries,andwasconsequentlynominatedforanAustralianWriters'GuildawardforBestNarrativeComedy.In2013heactedinTheElegantGentleman'sGuidetoKnifeFighting,asketchcomedyshowfortheABC,beforegoingontoplayRupertMurdochintheNineNetworkminiseries,PowerGames:ThePacker-MurdochWar,whichwenttoairinSeptember2013.BrammallalsohasastarringroleintheABCcomedyseriesUpperMiddleBoganasDannyBright,whichpremieredinAugust2013.ThesecondseasonpremieredinOctober2014.In2014,BrammalljoinedthemaincastoftheNetworkTenseriesOffspring,playingtheroleofmidwifeLeoTaylor.Healsohasaco-starringroleintheJoshLawsonwrittenanddirectedcomedyfeature,TheLittleDeath.In2015,hestarredinboththefilmRubenGuthrieandtheStanseriesNoActivity.BrammallfirstmethisfuturewifeSamanthaNieldonthesetofTVseriesTheAlice,whereshewasamemberofthecrew.Thecoupleeventuallymarr
